Jibri spring collection

Everyone knows that I love fashion.  However,  I haven't been able to say that I was in love with an entire line of clothing, until now.  Jibri's spring collection is to die for!!  It is filled with beautiful colors,  floral patterns and  trendy designs. The entire line is fun, flirty and most of all, curve friendly. You may not be able to say each piece is for your particular body type but some where within this collection there is something that will appeal to your curves.  Some of the pieces were featured on B.E.T's Rip The Runway, and they did just that..... RIPPED IT!!!  I am I love with the green slouch pants, they have to be a part of my wardrobe for Full Figured Fashion Week.  Initially when I saw those pants, I told my boyfriend, "baby, I must have been dead cause these pants just gave me life!!!" However, he was quick to point out that they were expensive and I quickly reminded him about his Jordan collection.  Any way ladies, be sure and take a peep.......... http://www.jibrionline.com/live/

PAM CHATMAN

If you have been reading my blogs, you should be aware that March is Women's History month.  I have made an effort to spotlight different women on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  However, for what ever reason I have neglected to publish them in my blog.  So here I am!!!  I recently had the pleasure of coming in contact with a woman that made history in the field of media.  From the moment we connected, it was an instant connection and I really enjoy our conversations.  She stated, "people never expect me to be as down to earth as I am" and she is right.  During one of our conversations, I told her, "I have never been to Mississippi".  Her response to me was, "oh, you coming" and guess what I believe that she will make it happen. I am excited about the journey that she and I are about to embark on and I am giving you fair warning that is going to be major. She is an amazing woman and I take pleasure in being able to say I now have a relationship with her; A woman who has rubbed elbows with the likes of Oprah Winfrey and other major players and a legend in her own right!

The lovely curvy diva that I am speaking of is Ms. Pam Chatman. Ms.Chatman, who has been labeled the 'Oprah of the South', is currently the Managing Director of WABG 6's News Department, a position that landed her the acclaim of being the first African American female to hold such a position. Published author, poet, CEO and founder of Empower U Mentoring Organization and creator of several lines of cosmetics, Pam Chatman, is no stranger to success.  Most importantly, Pam is no stranger to hard work and reinvesting in her community.  Pam's hard work and dedication to and for the state of Mississippi has not gone unnoticed.   In 2008 to commemorate Pam for her success as an African American woman both statewide and nationally,Pam Chatman day was declared a statewide holiday by the Mississippi  legislature.

MONIF C

Spring has sprung in spite of the weather that we are experiencing across the globe.  It is time to start packing up those sweaters and pulling out short sleeve tops.  It is time for spring break vacations, walks on the beach and pool/day parties.  None of this will be complete without a swim suit of some kind.  Now I know from my own personal actions that this is the time when some curvy cuties either stay home, avoid certain events or pull out the shorts and the long tee shirt(bogus swim suit substitutes).  Well, not this year.... that is what I am declaring right here right now! There is no reason for us to avoid swim suits when there is one for you and your figure.

Famous full figured designer Monif C recently released her swim suit line.  When I tell you she went there, home girl went there!  She is always making it easy for us to fluent our curves and be P.H.A.T GIRL FRESH by making clothing that compliments our assets and hide our problem areas.  These swim suit are no different, there is something for every woman with curves.  There are full suit with extra control.  There are suit with peek-a-boo areas.  There are long sleeve pieces.  There are even mix and match separates, that include high waist bottoms with control tops.  All of the material is durable and form fitting to bring it all in, so you look extra sexy.  The colors are all fun, vibrant and can double as regular tops(in my opinion).  So please check out the swim suit line and throw those shorts in the trash!!!!  http://monifc.com/swimwear.html

M.A.C + Hayley Williams = Sounds like Noise

Well,  M.A.C has made another amazing collaboration. This time with 24-year-old singer Hayley Williams of Paramore.  Hayley has helped design the four pieces for the collection, all in her signature shade of vibrant orange. "Orange was it for me from picking up the eye shadow when I was 17. It's not a natural color  but when I wear it, people say, 'It looks normal on you!' I feel like it was born with it. It matches my soul," was the statement she made.  Hayley, who is known for her hair orange, admitted, "I didn't wear make-up at all. Photographers would beg me to wear Chapstick and I'd say no. I picked up orange eye shadow from MAC, that was the beginning of the end. It's been key in making me feel like I have an on-stage personality," she explained in an interview with People Online. Now a convert, she added: "The best thing about make-up is that it's complete self expression, it's art on your face. Make-up can be really empowering, and I'm excited to be part of the MAC family and for fans to get a hold of it."  The collection will be available from April 9 from MAC counters and online at http://www.maccosmetics.com

Like a virgin..... How to know if your getting real virgin hair

Virgin hair has become a must have among many women.  However the harsh reality is many women are paying top dollar for hair that is no more virgin then they are.  There are companies that have become well known for their quality truly virgin hair.  Many celebrities and socialites swear by Bella Dream hair, so in doing my research I reached out to them first.  I must admit, they were very helpful and I was able to gain a great bit of information.  They even offered to send me some samples which I am waiting to get approved. So there will surely be a part 2 to this blog and maybe even more.  The virgin hair market is huge right now and I didn't want to overload you with information because i know.........aint nobody got time for that!  No seriously, to much reading could possibly cause me to lose you.  So, here are 3 ways to authenticate virgin hair.

1. No chemicals: How can you tell? Well, smell is generally a great indicator. Virgin hair typically smells just like your natural hair. Nothing else. Now, most reputable companies often condition, sterilize, and/or clean the hair, so the hair may smell like a shampoo or conditioner. But you shouldn't smell that Beauty Supply smell on the hair. Nor should you smell any harsh chemicals.

 2. Coloring: Virgin hair comes in the natural color of the donor. You shouldn't be able to pick a color for your Virgin extensions. Reputable companies often call this the natural black or natural brown color. Yes, sometimes there will be grey strands in the hair as the donor may have had a few grey strands. Test: Once you receive the hair, place the hair in really hot water... the color of the water should not change colors, indicating that their is no bleeding of dyes on the hair. However, after you receive your hair, you should be able to dye it to your liking. It is recommended that you do this professionally if you don't know how to dye hair. Just keep in mind, that placing chemicals on the hair would most likely strain the hair just as it would your own hair, therefore it wouldn't be virgin after you've colored it.

3. Curl Patterns: Generally, virgin hair does not have a very defined curl pattern when it arrives to your home. If you hair has a very uniform curl pattern could be an indicator that the hair has been slightly chemically treated for curl pattern. This too is not virgin hair. Most of the virgin hair comes in a raw natural pattern and is not a very defined pattern. Keep in mind, some companies will tell you this if you ask. Some companies use extreme heat in order to create certain wavy or curl patterns, however, more defined curl patterns generally have been treated with a chemical of some sort. Tips: Do your research. Check out hair forums, listen to other customer experiences with that particular company. Check for money back guarantees or even a very open return policy. Companies that have been around for a long time and plan to stay have very clear customer service policies that are easy to find on their website. Ask the vendor very specific questions and gauge how they answer them. Use your common sense about hair purchases. If it doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Because so many hair companies are popping up all over the internet and social networks, you really have to be on your P's and Q's about this kind of stuff. I know its getting more and more complicated. But the best way to arm yourself is to educate yourself.

I hope this has been helpful and I will have more information once I receive my samples.
