HOUSE OF CURVES
“The peplum is the perfect piece for a woman
with a bottom stomach………” stated Kenyatta.
This phrase alone allowed me to give WEtv’s House of Curves my stamp of
approval. The show spotlights the life
of Kenyatta Jones as a designer on an expedition to make her brand Bella Rene’
a household name. Yeah I know we have
seen this show concept a couple of times but never from this angle. Bella Rene’ is a brand that caters to woman
who are curvy, plus size, full figured or whatever we choose to call ourselves. To read this entire blog, click the link below http://www.phatgirlfresh.com/#!fresh-life/cute

CANADA'S FULLER WOMEN'S EXPO
The International Fuller Woman Expo was started in Canada in 2008 by Georgia Greenwood. Born and raised in Jamaica, where the full figured woman is celebrated; Georgia saw the lack of appreciation in the Canadian society for the plus size woman. Through her research and personal experiences, Georgia planned and successfully executed the first and only plus size event at the time which was well received by its audience. The expo is geared towards empowering and educating the plus size woman. Through hard work, dedication and team work, the expo has expanded to the United States and Africa http://www.phatgirlfresh.com/#!fashionably-fresh/cnec

Women Who Run With Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola
“A woman cannot make the culture more aware by saying ‘Change.’ But she can change her own attitude toward herself, thereby causing devaluing projections to glance off. She does this by taking back her body. By not forsaking the joy of her natural body, by not purchasing the popular illusion that happiness is only bestowed on those of a certain configuration or age, by not waiting or holding back to do anything, and by taking back her real life, and living it full bore, all stops out. This dynamic self-acceptance and self-esteem are what begins to change attitudes in the culture. To read the entire post click the link below

Bocage Custom Fashions by Dia Bocage
With over 25 years in the fashion design game along with an A list of satisfied customers that include men and women from all walks of life. Celebrity designer, Dia Bocage is at the top of this fashion industry. Many times people use their celebrity status, as to who they know or what they have done to help fuel their ego. However, Auntie Dia (a nickname given to her) is one of the most pleasant, humble, and down to earth people I have ever met. Before she and I ever had a conversation, I had gotten the word from several sources that in fact she was a very nice person. From the moment that I made contact with her, I was able to get the same vibe that everyone else had got; she is an absolute amazing person, who's talent is out matched by her character. WEIGHT WARS.... to be curvy or not!!
My question to my curvy cuties is how happy are you with who your are? Are you happy with your curves or are you preparing to transition into that skinny chick? What is your view on women like Monique, Star Jones and Rickey Lake; who traded their curves for a much slimmer frame? Do you believe that there is a such thing as losing too much weight? When you diet and exercise do you pay attention to the changes that happen to you other than your waist getting smaller? I know that I have dieted several times and I am still changing my habits and exercising. However, more than any thing, I pay close attention to my body. I don't want to look sick or be unnoticeable. I love the fullness in my face and I don't want to lose that. I would really like for my curvy cuties to chime in and tell me what you think.
